In this performance, a woman wearing a dress covered in the language of Emily Dickinson’s Poem#512 “The Soul Has Bandaged Moments”, has the dress torn off by other performers revealing her nude body covered in paint and language, same language as the dress. While this is going on four people are reading the poem aloud. When the dress is completely ripped off and the women is standing nude with her painted language, Lesley Dill slowly approaches her from the back of the room and kisses her on the mouth taking the end of the ribbon that has been in the performer’s mouth walking backwards and ending the performance. This was performed at George Adams gallery in New York City. There is a 14 minute DVD of the performance.
